Each dinner is carefully curated + small in size to create an intimate setting with interesting people engaging in elevated conversation over delicious food, wine and atmosphere.

A special guest will bring the key topic and guide the conversation for the evening. 

This is a night designed for you to slow back down to human speed and feast on good food, company and conversation.

OUR SPECIAL GUEST

Our special guest and conversation curator for the evening will be the elegantly edgy, ever-creative, and whip smart Rachel Maskell, Story Alchemist and entrepreneur. 

Rachel believes stories have the power to transform and heal when given the right space and container. With the aid of her visually stunning Story Cards, we invite her to join us at the table and create such a space to tell our stories.

WHO ORGANIZES THE INVITATION?

Why, I do, darling. 


WHY DID YOU START THE INVITATION?

I crave spending time in intimate spaces with great people having interesting conversations. As for the food, who doesn't love food?

I looked around, couldn't find it so decided to create it myself. Thus, The Invitation was born.

 

HOW MANY PEOPLE ATTEND EACH DINNER?

10 - 14


IS THIS A NETWORKING EVENT?

Thanks for asking. No.

In fact, business solicitation is strongly discouraged. This is your invitation to an evening centered around old fashioned social norms: eye contact, hand shakes, talking of things in select company behind closed doors. Cell phones and business cards aren't invited.

Note: There is a no cell phone policy upon arrival.


 

WHAT WILL WE BE HAVING FOR DINNER?

Every dinner is slightly different and based on a variety of factors, including seasonality of produce and the creative preferences of our chef. 

Dinners will all fall within this framework: 

+ Wine + tea, plus small bites upon arrival.

+ Salad and the main course. 

+ Then dessert and tea to close it out.


 

WHAT IF I WANT TO INVITE A SPOUSE/PARTNER/FRIEND/NEIGHBOR?

We'd love to have them!

Every guest receives one invitation to pass on to another person. You can use your invitation to invite whomever you want. If you prefer to attend with someone by your side you may extend the invitation to that person. 

That said, choose carefully and please keep in mind that a good dose of wit and a dash of uniqueness, humor, kind-heartedness and charm go a long way. Everyone will thank you.

WHY IS THE INVITATION “INVITATION ONLY”?

Every dinner intentionally has limited space and a curated guest list in order to preserve an intimate quality and ensure that every person enjoys engaging conversation with interesting people and a special air of camaraderie. This quality can only be made in small quantities.

While big parties are fun, this isn't that.  



WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL?

Things happen. Plans change. That is completely understood and respected.

Please understand that a lot of preparation goes into creating a quality evening for everyone attending the dinner - and that means advanced planning. 

With that in mind, The Invitation has the following refund policy: 

+ A full refund is offered up to 7 days before the event.

+ 50% refund is offered until 72 hours before the event. 

+ No refund is offered within 72 hours of the event.
